I've never tried to push this before. Now I've decided I want too. Just one changes tripled my average daily earnings from Google. I felt so giddy seeing my money rise 300% to 30 cents a days. At this rate I might one day cover my costs. Actually, by tinkering with the colours and layout I saw the click through rate double and the monetary improvement at a healthy 400%. Yep, I quadrupled my Adsense earnings by making small changes to the colours of the links and background.

Actually, no, I'm not kidding about the above. But - and this is a big 'but' - some of my sites are reasonably popular and consistantly in the first page for their keywords. I've just never bothered improving that side of it. If all these ads I'm seeing are to be believed, we can all be earning $1,000's a month, a week, even a day! I intend to push the envelope out over the new few weeks and months and see just how much truth there is in the matter. One thing is more sure, whatever I learn is going on this site, and in the forums for all, not locked into CD's tapes and books waiting your credit cards!

d'Adsense is about helping webmasters make money from advertising - primarily my own experiments to optimise layout and thus rates through legitimate means. As an example, I improved the click-through rate on one of my sites 300% - just by making the (pale) background white!

Naturally, Google's Adsense will feature heavily as it is the best known, but I will also be looking at Overture, IntelliTXT and several other related options.

Looking at Google ads. Typically it's a few cents a click, some words have been known to pay over $100 a time. Few websites even cover the cost of hosting from the Google cheques. Certainly I don't! No, really, I don't, but I should be getting twentyfold what I do from all the traffic, everything being equal. If I went down the route of only writing about things I believe to pay better, well… Not my way, but you get the idea. However, as I'm in the mood for playing, I'll share. I want to try and get on top of everything, sort out my life and come out of retirement for a while. To do this I need to increase the profitability of my websites about a thousand fold.

Time to put up or shut up, eh!
